I'm sure glad it's Friday.. :-) Just read that Dr. Demento went to Reed College here. Figures... He's doing a series of $5 shows at his alma mater next week. The first night's topic: "Songs I Can't Play On The Dr. Demento Show." "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." (Abraham Lincoln) Sounds simplistic, however there's a lot of truth in it. Wednesday, January 14, 2004
I've been reading lots of great stuff, from this English diet-wise woman. The funny thing for me is, most of her clients have been women, so about 95 percent of her examples and things are of and directed to women. Which for me, makes them funnier! :-) "Now she's 35 and at least 30 pounds overweight. Even her pool attendant has stopped eyeing her up." Ha hahhaaha! Horrors! The diet expert's great though, a wonderfully motivating person, for someone who wants to shape up. "If your parents never had children, chances are you won't, either." (Dick Cavett) Or, if your parents had the same mindset as you, there would be no you! ;-) Tuesday, January 13, 2004
From a local weekly community paper's tribute to a well-liked man who died in his sleep, at 64: "Dawson was one of those types of people that if you felt down or depressed he would build up your spirits. That was his specialty. I'm going to miss him a lot." I knew a woman like this, for a few short years. I miss her a lot, too. |
