Bet that pretty girl who used to call herself best friends with me, would like this Good Brothers LP ("Oh How She Rides"....) Funny how I was reading just a week or two back, about how historically, we got a lot more snow on average, each winter. Then, this. Thursday, January 01, 2004
Emily Watson, in Trixie: ![]() "I am totally naked, without any clothes on." "Also I'm a girl..woman." "Pretty soon someone could get killed here, and die." "She's dead now. She's never gonna be the same again." "Wait, get naked out of your clothes." "I came up here 'cause I think that there are brighter clouds ahead for me." "Do you mean, do I have an ace up my hole?" "If you tip a better amount, you feel good about yourself, which helps your bone structure." "Why do people always have to beat a dead horse to death." ![]() A really pretty half hungover 20-ish girl, on this evenings local Channel 8 newscast, "It was scary when we were in the car and the other cars were sliding into us, and we have nowhere to go." (Sabrina H. - - with the same last name as a couldn't be more opposite looking woman at work.. he hehe.) Hmmmm, doesn't sound like the type of condition I want to brave tomorrow. Too bad, guess I'll miss a little work. ![]() Whilst I'm rockin' it up with some early Third Eye Blind, very loud, it's dipped back down to 32 degrees out... Having reached 33 for a little while. And never having stopped snowing. A woman just skiied by my window, a big smile on her face. Oh yeah. It's a happy new year! Thank You God. Best New Year's Day I remember ever, by a long shot..... Took a hike a little while back. Plenty of friendly neighbors, and lots of wintery scenes, off on my walk... Oh Lord, I love it. We're having our best snow for years... On New Year's Day! How cool is that. I just tuned back into the Twilight Zone Marathon... Ha, it's the one with the ugly hag, confronting the space invaders who turn out to be Earthlings. I know a woman who could play that ugly hag very convincingly. In fact, she was born for the part. She may think she's some sort of princess, but really, she's a perfect hag. ("The Invaders", 1961) ![]() Now I'm getting a good chill on, for this afternoon. It's nice and cozy in here, watching the storm out my window... What a fun day. People are out cross-country skiing in my field. Adam across the street was pulling his little daughter Claire around in a sled earlier. Now some kids are out building another snowman. What an excellent New Year's Day!!! I love living it all, watching it all. Front row seat. I have a feeling my speakers are going to be getting a good workout soon... Happy New Year! Happy New Year! I have a feeling this year's going to be much better than the last... 2003 was a year of goodbye, of upheavals, of war..... 2004 will be much better! Sure has started most excellently... Slept beautifully last night, and awoke to howling winds outside... I got up, looked out my front window, and there's a blizzard going on! It's gorgeous.... I had been bemoaning our lack of much snow the last 2 or 3 years. Then, walla, we've had snow day after day, and a wonderful winter wonderland on the first day of this new year. Alright! Up here I get more too. In this hilly city, it pays to live *up.* Wednesday, December 31, 2003
![]() "I think that's the first time in my life, I was sorry I was born a woman." "Paula there lives in a mirror. The world is nothing to her but a reflection of herself." "One more thermometer in my puss, I'm going to absent myself without leave from this establishment." "Oh Danny, you're a nice guy and a loyal friend. In my selfish, devious way, I'm very much in love with you." "You may think you're still the number one lady on the top of the heap, but you've got it wrong." "If I wish hard enough, I can wish it away." (Ha, this episode, where the last three lines are from, The Sixteen Millemeter Shrine, shows scenes from the aging actress's heyday, 25 years earlier, supposedly. However, she looks exactly as middle-aged in those, ie, the same age as herself watching.... An oddly unbelievable episode. Lots of great lines in this one though.) - From today's Twilight Zone marathon. Amazing how well these old B&W's hold up to repeated viewings. It's kind of fun to just catch 'em as they come, too. That is, without the usual TiVo-style pre-thought. {Note... So far, each of those lines popped out from different episodes, circa 1959 or so.} Tuesday, December 30, 2003
Leave It To Trio. Trio ran a story on the age of consent, in various states. Turns out, in some states, and in Canada, the age of consent is 14. 14!!! So, they continued, Emma Watson would be, er, "eligible" in Iowa, South Carolina, Hawaii (and also Canada, which they ignored) in April. Yes, 4 months from now. Hmmmmmmmmmm...... Does she really look old enough to give her "consent" for sex, less than four months from now? Bizarre. I mean, she'd have to be 18 in my state. What's up with that? ![]() |
