"Boy, never throw away the hope for the new." - Arrows, "Old Broom", Clappers, Slavery Days Yeah, fine, bring her *if* she's sweet...

I love these speakers..... They're quiet and polite when they ought to be quiet and polite, simply reproducing whatever I throw at them. Then, as now, they're ever ready, and perhaps even a bit anxious, to get it on! Yeah!@#

"I can't help myself! I have no control over this evil thing inside me, the fire, the voices, the torment!"
"Who knows what it is to be me?" - - Peter Lorre, in the German film "M", 1931.

"Allow your past to fade. Let new things come in."
Yeah, yeah.... I'm trying! Right now, the new things seem to be things... Just got my speakers last night.. First I listened to some heavy bass stuff - some great coverage there. Loud and low, and seemingly effortlessly.... I wasn't really in that kind of mood though. So I switched to some of my favourite custom Christmas CDs, and happily listened the rest of the evening. My new pair seemed just as happy with that totally different music. And so did my ears..

Ultimately, I don't think she could have been "everything" even if she tried. It was all pretty moot anyway, and I always saw that. I'm not so sure she did. That's the trouble with having a rich fantasy life - - sometimes it blends with reality.

I still don't really like her, because she seems cold, and coldness in a woman doesn't work for me. However, Nicole Kidman did say something recently which I agree with. When she was married to Tom Cruise, she felt very comfortable, and safe. I know the feeling. Now, she puts more emphasis on her ability to survive. As a person, sometimes, the best you can do is to survive. I was just thinking about that over the weekend..... It's been quite a year, good then pretty bad. However, it's great to *survive*.

Her: "You're still carrying the torch for her aren't you?"
Him: "Got a match?"

Scale
Concerned wife to husband: "Bad day at the office, Ollie?"
Husband replies: "Yeah, yeah, they're all bad."

Ha hahah ah ah aha!!! I love it. Can't beat the old Twilight Zones...... Earlier, I was watching an old Robert Mitchum/Shirley MacLaine flick, "Two For The Seesaw"...

S.M.: "So, how long did yours last?"
R.M.: "12 years."
S.M.: "What's a matter, she get a yen for another guy?"
R.M.: "No, she just got a yen to see the end of me."

{Edit} I didn't watch the rest... Saturday, I enjoyed "Pretty Devils"... The check out woman looked odd, "pretty devils, that doesn't make any sense." Fine film of three young French girls though.. Especially if you're acustomed to reading subtitles (or can understand spoken French.) Audrey Tautou's character shows an excellent imagination, in this earlier film, too.
