Mist In The Morning As I walked into work this Saturday morning, the mist felt so refreshing on my skin... Laura Biagiotti really likes showing her top, er, her models' tops. Lots of see through blouses, and others that flap wide open, particularly in her Spring, 2002 collection. :-) Although others of hers are well worth a look too.... Speaking of women to view and admire, Gretchen Mol looks really outstanding in Forever Mine. Interesting..... Many women like to look at and admire men, just like guys like to check out the girls. However, when it comes to marrying, they diverge. A man wants an attractive woman. That's a very major part of his decision on who to get together with. A woman, however, will put money ahead of looks, generally. If a man is a good provider, she finds that attractive. Of course I'm generalizing here.... There are other factors on both sides. However, this is a major difference between the sexes. Friday, October 03, 2003
Mars And The Moon ![]() The moon's shimmering in the mist. It's a little spooky out in my field tonight. I found my way roughly to the center, and began admiring still visible Mars and the moon... I noticed what I first thought were some firecrackers thrown by someone in the distance. Nothing banged though. Through by binoculars, I spied some guy in shorts, picking up whatever, and throwing it again. A lighted frisbee. Nothing like Mars and the moon. Along with the crickets around the edges, and the sillouettes of the trees. Lord, I love these: "Do not allow wistful yearnings for things that probably never existed, to obscure your current goals." Cowboy On The Moon Lambchop's so bizarre...sadly, desperately appealing. I've got lots of Lambchop, thank God. Actually, I've got lots of a lot of things. It's the only way to go. Lots Of Living Life is so incredible. Lots of living to do, *right now*. I have the feeling things are opening up. Parts of me that were closed down are now rejoicing in their freedom. Over ![]() He stands looking into her big brown eyes, and begins... "You don't need me. I don't need you. That's what it boils down to." As he's walking away, he thinks to himself, "You were so sweet. Thank you." I think summer is *finally* about over here, too. That is, *if* the weather forecasts are finally right. I kind of doubt there's another Indian summer on the other end of a week of rain, in the 50s and 60s, supposedly coming soon. (It's still pretty nice today, sunny enough for air conditioning to feel good...) I'm looking forward to it getting cold enough to burn some wood in the fireplace.... Thursday, October 02, 2003
I hate mushrooms! They lurk in certain dishes, hiding there, waiting to be disgustingly bitten into. Like really bad tasting slugs. Gross!!! I wish they didn't exist. Then they'd never sneak into my mouth, and into my stomach. Bleah! How do you get that sickening feeling out of your stomach, after you've been tricked into eating a slug/mushroom? Beautiful When They Smile Mon Petit Oiseau Fall 2003 collection - unusually pretty models, most of whom actually smile. That may be the most attractive set of models I've ever seen. Now *that* is what I mean, when I say a certain girl I dated looked just like a model. Girls you wish you knew. That's what models should be.... Even beautiful women look much better when they smile. Much more inviting, too. (Which brings to mind this noon after lunch out with a friend... As I was waiting to pay up, a nice looking woman with her friend was leaving, and smiled at me. Her lovely smile gave me a good warm feeling.) Incredible Life It's amazing how much better this cassette from an LP sounds, than the re-released CD... Top Deck ska. I have a feeling they tried to "clean up" the tapes or whatever source they were using for the re-release, to such an extent, that they lost a great deal of the life and magic of the original recordings. Long live vinyl! There's incredible life and power in this music. Oh Lord, and now some Prince Buster, Linger On. "The world heavyweight champion, Cassius Clay!" It's so incredibly cool. Vinyl Truth This is trippy. I haven't purchased the digital interface to my vinyl yet. Looks like I'm going to have to. I've got a certain Skatalites album, on a not-Studio One label, which has some of their very best stuff on it. It's like vintage Skatalites, turned up an extra notch, somehow. Actually, I know exactly how. The particular studio did a little better job than Studio One or Treasure Isle, in capturing the magic of the real Skatalites, with Don Drummond et al. Anyway, I've long enjoyed certain tracks from that LP, and as taped on cassette too. The very best... So, years later, when I saw it, I picked up the CD of that album. A London label, with Steve Barrow on the liner notes. Should be fantastic.... Only, it's not nearly so magic as my LP! The sound is, hmmmm, not nearly as lively! Of course, this is not the first time music in my genre sounds a fu*k of a lot better on the original vinyl... But still!!! You've got to have the vinyl, or you'd never even know. "Oh big name, must know more about music than..." Think again. {Please note, I've been fixing some particularly awful errors tonight. Like, Robbie is actually a *slimy* character, not simply smily. Or I am *not* too good at ending friendships, etc.... How do I get things exactly wrong, in writing? Maybe that's why on-line relationships always seem to go south at some point.....} Catches ![]() "Anyone that doesn't see what a catch you are doesn't deserve to catch you. This works both ways." Yeah! The funny thing is, I was just thinking about this, earlier this morning, before reading this just now. Many folks may think anything astrological is bunk, but I've found some good insights there. This one is so true. If someone doesn't think you're their type, they don't deserve you. In fact, they're not your type too, obviously. They're not worth spending more time on. :-) It works both ways. A person shouldn't go for another they don't view as a "catch." They're only wasting the other person's life. Intense "To your way of understanding, Scorpio rising, a relationship, whether it is a friendship or a love affair, must be intense in order to be valid." (From today's horoscope.) Yeah, pretty much. Robbie's Image I don't know, it's really amusing to me how some women fans of his will defend Robbie Robertson being pictured with all sorts of young women. As if he just goes to all his parties and such with them to look good for publicity. Ha ha aha! As if the married RR cannot be imagined to be playing around on his wife. I swear he could be caught in bed a half dozen times, and still have his defenders (that is, defenders of his virtue.) Sometimes, one can build someone up so, that they'll refuse to believe the truth about them, no matter. OK, it may soak in after a while. I'm just as guilty of this as anyone! I want my heroes to be heroes! Famous or not. Some people just remain flirts and basically not too loyal, whether married or not. You can depend on them to move from girl to girl, or, from guy to guy, as the case may be. You might see tremendous potential in them, and if you can believe them, they can be the most wonderful person you ever knew. Like a charming Robbie, who seems like a very slimy character (albeit with a lot of talent) to me..... Why do I have the distinct feeling, I'll end up believing someone like that, again.... The heart can do powerful things to one. |
