Rockets OK, I've arrived home, it's a little before 7:00PM local time. Some new tunes are blasting on the stereo. The very best beer available is finding it's way into my stomach. In my field, on this gorgeous 4th of July evening, a large family group is shooting off little rockets. Day time rockets. Funky little rocket powered airplanes, too. In the bright sunshine.... It's only begun, I suspect.... :-) Tuesday, July 01, 2003
Virtue "The main virtue in the Rooster character is loyalty: they make devoted friends." For all the good it does them! Definitive Edition ![]() I'd never read The Diary of a Young Girl. I think I really lucked out in experiencing it first in the expanded "Definitive Edition." This one has more about her various personal problems with her family. Also, sex! She talks about her strong attraction to women and girls when she was younger. Then her shy discussions with her male friend about sex... Lately I've been listening to Winona as Anna, describing her increasingly close and charming friendship with a teenaged boy who is living in their hiding place with his parents, too. Her description very much reminds me of the sweet friendship I shared with a woman for years, recently. We could talk about anything, opening our hearts. I'm not really sure what happened to that girl I knew.... I'm not sure if it's Anna's charm, or Winona's - quite possibly both.... I'm sure enjoying listening, though. Miss Ryder is quite cute the say she says "panties." Monday, June 30, 2003
Reading, & A Compatibility Last evening, I was listening to Winona Ryder reading The Diary of a Young Girl (Anne Frank.) I liked to imagine it was actually Winona's diary. I care a lot more about her. She's got such a great, expressive voice, too. I wished she was laying there beside me talking like that.... "On the surface, I seem to have everything. Except my one, true friend." Yes, I know what she means.... "I used to think that Vilma was nice, which she is. But all she ever talks about is boys, and that gets to be a bore." I can relate. The other thing I am doing is still voraciously reading all about Chinese astrology. It's very interesting, and as far as I can tell so far, surprisingly accurate. I was compariing some compatibilities of myself, with various females I know or have known. I'm not that surprised to just read how happy my own male sign and a female of the Pig sign can be, in a romantic relationship. Yes, I can see this. I think that would work much better than a simple platonic friendship. A Pig girl could make quite a girl to call one's own, I imagine. (The *right* Pig, that is...) It's funny, I've read a lot about many signs... including a Rabbit (aka Cat sometimes) woman, which fits exactly with the Rabbit woman I know, who drives me nuts. Anyway, I do learn lessons, and oftentimes seem destined to learn my lessons the hard way. I think I've learned something about a relationship with a Pig girl. It doesn't pay to push your opinions on them too forcefully. They'll pretty much decide what they feel is the right way to be in their lives...... Funny thing is, Pigs are known for *not* learning their lessons! They supposedly make the same mistake again and again. Hard to imagine.... Sunday, June 29, 2003
![]() Sky Bird After a record setting hot day yesterday (96 degrees, one better than the old 1951 record) the sky gave a brilliant sunset, last night... Neither "Astrology is neither witchcraft nor magic." (Suzanne White in The New Chinese Astrology) I believe this, too. Although I've never thought it in these words, so succinctly. I *hope* this to be true, as well. |
