Carny
I've finally seen Carny. Disappointing and sad. Jodie Foster's excellent in it, though. I think Robbie Robertson plays himself, which is kind of cool. Sad movie though... OK, OK, I really wanted to see it... It's one of those things where, the reality doesn't make you any happier though. Sort of like a friendship abandoned or something - you wonder. Do you feel better for the wear?? Sad. Sad movie. Plus the ending is lousy! Unbelievable.

What do you expect from a Carny though!

Pig Girls
One thing about girls with the Pig Chinese sign - - they love luxury, and love to spend money. Recalling my relationship with a Pig girl... I never spent so much money in my life! We had fun, going to really nice places to eat, the in spots, that sort of thing. She chose us a fancy Bed and Breakfast at the coast, for a little excursion... I remember reflecting after our relationship had ended though, about how the money had flowed so fast during those times. Pig girls are expensive! Years later, planning a trip to England, I found my then companion and I a spacious flat, in a nice area of London, for a very reasonable price - - a fraction of what it was supposed to cost to stay there... That's *my* style. I like a good deal. Seems like a Pig girl might drive me nuts with her spending desires. Even when I have plenty of money, I *still* like a good deal a lot better than something seeminly unreasonably expensive. Although I could probably afford a Pig girl, I am not so sure it would be a wise relationship to get into.....

What's With This New Blogger??! Back door entry?

I guess it's OK. Hmmmm, we'll see.
For today, "Your sentimental relationships are likely to turn sour; control your utterings."
Control my utterings??! That would be nice at times. One might utter enough to silence a long time formerly quite loyal friend, sadly.

Ha, I read that Night Roosters (those born in the middle of the night, ahem..) are "doubly eccentric."
I like that! It's true too, I'd say...

Pig Characteristics
I've noticed, from looking at the Pig girls I've known, they're generally girlish, and happy to be so. Soft voices, too.
Now, why is it that the men Pigs I have thought of, and there are a few I know a little... The men Pigs tend to be loud and obnoxious! Like a different species altogether. I can't think of one of several Pig guys I have known as acquaintances, who I would care to be friends with. Or talk with, for that matter. One of those Pig guys actually invited himself for lunch with me and someone else once. That was annoying! He wasn't really welcome, in the least.....
A girl Pig can be very nice to talk with, though! So long as they like you.

Romance, Chinese-Style
"There are likely to be many romantic opportunities in your life since you enjoy courtship and are a charming companion."
Yes, and it's a good thing, since those romantic relationships always seem to have a starting *and* ending date!

Testing Chinese
I've had a little project lately, reading up on and testing Chinese astrology. I've been gathering the animals of various people I know, and seeing if they make sense. Plus, I've been particularly studying signs I know well. Like the Pig/Boar girl I've known for years. Or the Rooster I know even better. ;-)

Another aspect which is of course interesting, is compatibilities. Like, the Rooster is supposed to be compatible with the Ox. I can think of several nice Ox guys, who make good, loyal friend/acquaintances (more than I can say for some "friends"!) However, every Ox female I have been able to think of, is shaped something like an Ox! Not exactly interesting to the opposite sex, I'd say. Does anyone know of an attractive Ox girl, so I can get that image out of my head? Anyway, I finally thought of one good test of the so-called compatibilities issue. I know a couple, who just got married within the last couple years. To everyone's surprise, they hit it off tremendously, and seem to have an equally happy marriage. So, do their signs in Chinese predict that? Yes!!! He's a Rat, and she's a Monkey, and their compatibility rating is 10 of 10, very high, and rare...

OK, another test is still in the works. There's a guy with a sign which is only given a 4 of 10 rating going with a real attractive Snake girl. So far, they're still an item. Will it last? Can it last? If it doesn't, supposedly the Snake girl and a Rooster guy are quite compatible, with a 9 of 10 compatibility rating. I'm not so sure this one will prove the Chinese compatibility rating system though... The thing is, oftentimes, people will hook up with someone who is sort of compatible. Like my Pig friend did. It can work, especially for certain signs that are at least somewhat compatible with many different animals (like Pigs, particularly.) I've found for the most part, I don't like Pig males (the ones I know about.) They're annoying, with voices which drive me crazy, generally fairly loud and not my types for friends or acquaintances. Pig girls seem more attractive. The ones I've known or have been involved with seem to pretty much decide they like me first, then they're excellent at seduction. They do seem quite different from me though...

Again, How Did They Know?!
"Married or not, anticipate big relationship problems." For early April to early May this year.... Mmm-hmm.
The Rooster 2003: "Emotionally, this year hits bottom." Ugh.

How Do They Know This Sort Of Thing??
"One distinctive characteristic of the Rooster is that he carries a notepad around with him all the time in order to jot down things he does not want to forget."
3" by 5" works best. ;-)

{Rooster,} "You find it hard not to express yourself totally frankly and often it lands you in trouble."

"{The Boar/Pig}may back off from a relationship that seems to be becoming too intense, withdrawing into contemplation."
How do they know this about a girl Pig?

"The Boars are loyal, faithful, patient, tolerant, and giving, but they do have limits. In order to keep your relationship, remember; never try to force too many opinions on a Boar."
Yeah.....

"The male Rooster and the female Pig can be excellent lovers and very good friends into the bargain."
I've known this. Where art my Pig?

"{The Fire Rooster} presents a difficult, tormented, fiery, and uncompromising personality."
What can I say.... This stuff's interesting.
