Challenging Indeed From my Chinese horoscope for 2003, which I've just read, and I must say is quite accurate: "This year will be a challenging year." It has been, several respects... At least, I seem to be up to the challenge. "Things might not be going the ways as you wish and your life might be busier and more chaotic than you expect." Both true, strongly. Although, it's a mixed bag, and I have lots of faith in the future. Can't help what other people choose to do. "March might be a bumpy month a for relationships." An understatement. "Try to control your temper and count to ten when you feel the rage. Quarrels will only bring hurt and will never make things better." Yeah. Perhaps especially true this year. Violence Sucks I watched a movie last night, Once Were Warriors. It did have it's moments, including some good music. However, the violence was disturbing. I could have done without that being fed into my psyche. Violence sucks - in movies too. Few Thoughts I had written this as a paragraph, however the thoughts aren't exactly connected, even though one followed the other: 1) One of my co-worker acquaintances matter-of-factly called me, "young man" this morning. She wasn't particularly old, either. 2) Funki Porcini's "Tiers of Joy" is cooler than their "Wilson's Millions." Amon Tobin's "Slowly" is cooler than either. Perhaps slightly cooler still is the song I was listening to on my auto stereo system this morning, a Hawaiian sounding trippy instrumental... I just made that CDR a couple weeks back, of things which were new to me though, and I can't think of the name of it right now. Sometimes, even great tracks flow together for me. I want to know *who* did it, or which producer, or mixer, or whatever will lead me to more like that. The name of the song in particular is not too important when one is listening, though.... Only the music..... 3) I *am* still dreaming, after all. It's just that my dreams seem more likely to come true, than at any time in the last several years. The timing of *when* particular dreams come true is not as important as their impending reality... |
