Someone I Knew
"It is therefore no surprise that you are unpredictable, unconventional and your own worst enemy in matters of the heart." This seems true of her.

Love Dies? My new fern patch out back, early this afternoon
"Sometimes, love simply dies." - Winona Ryder, in How To Make An American Quilt. As in many of her movies, she's great in it, however the movie... hmmm. The love she was speaking of, later apparently rose from the dead. I love that girl... {born Winona Laura Horowitz, now 5'4"}

Hah aha! I made spagetti this afternoon, complete with sausage (from New Seasons) and onions for the first time. What's so funny about that?? It's the hottest day of the year out! I think it's 98 degrees now...Outside, that is.

Qualities
Last night around 10:30, then again this morning around 10:30, I was out back taking in the glorious weather, and listening.... Suddenly, I thought of part of why I like this place so much. Three things:
1. Trees in the Breeze My backyard trees, and the trees across my field and in the neighborhood, remind me of the Greenhorn Mountain range, and the cabin we used to stay in for a couple weeks each summer. What a cool escape from the hot, dry, evergreen treeless city in which I then lived. I loved going to the mountains each summer. It was a special time with my brothers.... Exploring the surrounding ferns, trees, and creek across the street.... Now, I've got my own growing fern patches in my own backyard, and those great sounding evergreens... Nothing sounds like certain trees in the breeze....
2. Cool Breeze Another place I'm taken back to at times, with the cool breeze, is the coast we used to visit when I was little....I always liked the mountains more than the beach. Still, one of my most favourite memories....
3. A Place In the Country Perhaps the most striking thing about this place I live now, is the quiet. I could swear, it is *more quiet* than my parents place, out in the country, which they are just closing their sale on, tomorrow. It's very much like living out in the country. Not just the quiet, but the friendly neighbors... I could swear it's a whole lot like living in the country - - and it takes me some 7 minutes or so to drive in to work in the morning...

Few Things
1. Luck Can my luck be changing? ... First, I found this house, which I love, between Christmas and New Years, for a ludicrously excellent price. Then, I schedule this week off (in advance)... Thinking in terms of a combined pleasure, and work on the home week. It's gorgeous. The best one week warm summer weather I can recall here. And I am off for every minute of it.

2. Completely Un-tanned A pretty girl with bright red hair took off her last article of clothing, just after I arrived at the fountain, about 4 miles from here. (A city fountain in which people play when it's warm out.) She romped for a couple minutes, then came and sat not more that 3 feet from me, in the shade. They left shortly thereafter, with her walking away au natural. I think she got mixed up and thought this was Europe or something! She was very light, as if she rarely gets sun, let alone sun all over. She was the best looking red haired girl I've ever seen like that. What a neat surprise.

3. New Path Discovered a new path on a walk Sunday afternoon, about 3 blocks from here.

4. Grooves Listening to at this moment:
"Trance Jazz" - Exodus Quartet
"Eu Preciso Dizer Que Eu Te Amo" - Cazuaza, Bebel, Gilberto Gill
"Trying" - Nuspirit Helsinki
