His Voice - Help!
I think *I* could sing better than the lead male singer of Beat Happening... He's just baaaaad. Out of key, and just awful! Now, his songs are often excellent. Charming indie stuff. Should have let the girl sing more though. Or someone else!!!! For some reason, I can take him this afternoon though, and I really like it. It's just cool - creative, and fun. "Not A Care In The World".... yeah - with that Land Of The Loops girl.. :-)

My Girl
Oh man, the Stones' version of "My Girl"... Wow! They sure did some nice covers, so long ago...I think this is my second-favorite version of that song... Now, The Rascals' "My Hawaii" is kind of scary - ak, very lounge sounding....

So 60s
Rubbles Volume 2 has some really charming songs on it. One of these days, I really need to sit down and put together a CD of this sort of stuff. It's *so* 60s. Where do they come up with names for bands, like Wimple Wench? Their "Bluebell Wood"'s a nice little pop song... Hmm, this CD is from an 11 CD collection, which is quite different from the truncated version out on Amazon (as unavailabe) now... "I'm living in Bluebell Wood, I'll make you wish you could..."

Bravo
Bravo to Judge William G. Young (NY Times, free sign up required)... I hope the British can deal with their future nutty violent types - so we don't have to.... On another topic, it's been raining like crazy here for days. Not too unusual for this rain forest. It's more steady and heavier than normal though. I awoke with the sound of heavy rain on my roof.... I left for work an hour early, and before I pulled onto the main road, I had to drive through a big pool of water. *That's* never happened before, not on my street. Ah well, my 4 wheel drive made it through just fine. :-)

84 Times! All we are saying - is give peace a chance...
Earlier this week, I was walking back in the hallway, when I overheard this one guy, who always seems to complain, complaining. :-) He doesn't try to be funny, I don't think. He looks like a rough sort of humourless character, like a grumpy Popeye, or something. He started out a few years ago in the computer room, and back then, he'd complain that he didn't make enough money, along with other boring complaints. Now he works somewhere in Customer Service somewhere. This is really funny, because he's a gruff, grumpy, seemingly unhappy at the world sort of guy. Some service! Anyway, he had a form he needed to drop off, and there he was loudly, unsmilingly (as always) saying, "We have a paper based system! Everyone has to touch it 84 times." Ha ahah ahaha! So, as I walked down the hall, I started thinking, "wow, 84 times, imagine!" So, I started tapping the wall, counting, seeing if I could do it 84 times before walking at my rapid pace to where I was going... I didn't make it. I think I only made 46 times, and I was really moving my hand! 84 times!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's all been approved, looks like I'll be moving into my new home real soon... :-)

Slimy Thing
Argh! I just touched a slug! It snuck into my entryway, somehow... I hadn't turned that light on, reached down, and the slime!! Ahhhh! I touched a slug, with my left hand!

In My Dream!
Also today; "You will certainly have an amorous adventure"... Yeah, in my dream!! :-)

Time Dreaming
"You will have a period when dreams shall be king. You will spend a lot of time dreaming." True, I had two long and adventurous dreams, last night. In the first dream, I went up to some sort of get-together up by Seattle. I think it was some sort of meeting of collegues... As part of the festivities, they started playing music, and a few of us, me included, had a good time dancing. I like to dance, so that makes sense. While I was dancing around, a couple girls came up to dance around me.... Later, I found myself in an even more fun dream. I was in with some group of people, and we seemed to be on an outing or get-together of some kind. However, I met a particular young woman, and the two of us started hanging around together. As the day went on, we sort of snuck away from everyone else.. We were like two teens experiencing our first love. It was quite romantic - each of us shyly but steadily drawing closer to the other, and gaining confidence in our very new relationship. At one point, we were skirting the edge of a small creek, and I picked her up - as if to protect her from getting wet - although mostly I just did it for fun. She loved it, too! A really nice romantic day we spent together, my mysterious new found dark-haired girl and me.

(On another topic, I'm still saying my prayers, and hoping for the best. There's one final hurdle ahead...)

Touch And Go
It's so touch and go right now... I hope it all works out alright..
