 It's been a good weekend so far... Although, this cold is still working on me. The mall today was sort of fun at first. I hardly ever go there, so it was something different... Then, a couple hours later, it started feeling more and more claustrphobic! Really stuffy. I think they need to pump more air into that place! Thursday, December 19, 2002
My Tie Wow, she, who I'd wandered over to that department to see if I could see anyway, yeah, that one.... The one I always notice here... *She* just complimented me on my festive tie!! :-) Oh man.... I went over and spoke with her a minute then... It just seems like I end up having a hard time figuring out what to say next!! We smile and hmmm... Maybe one day I will figure out more than two sentences to say to *her*!!!!!!! ....It was funny, I noticed her standing talking to another woman, within eyesight of a table full of cakes, fudge, and other goodies. None of which I was really in the mood for(the food that is). I just stood there and pretended I was interested in the goodies a while though, just sort of non-chalantly (but probably incredibly obviously!!) glancing over at her. Then I manuevered myself over in about the area I figured she might be walking by soon after... Then, she did!!! And complimented me! Wow. Somehow it just seems too good, that she notices me.... I mean, I've felt this often, but still.  Like A Boy! She had hips like a boy too! .... I do like a girl with girlish hips, really. However, I think I was just blinded by cuteness! Not that I tried to pick her up though, exactly... sigh. Pixie Today is turning out alright! I heard from the real Laura, too.... Just finished eating our company Christmas luncheon meal, which was pretty good. The best part was, two of the three servers brought in were skinny little pixie girls, especially one of them, the blonde one. Each of them could just about have passed for skinny boys, except for their girlish faces. I was up here walking back to my desk, thinking about posting about them, the lovely dark haired turkey server, and the little potato serving girl, when I looked up, and the little very pixie-ish blonde met me in the hall, smiled and said "hi." She looked lost, and it felt dream-like meeting her up here in the hall by chance. Some stranger who was just down in the board room.... As soon as I got back to my desk, I had a flash, "Catch her and give her my silverware and napkin to take back down there!" I did, just barely.... Turns out she was looking for something up here. I didn't know exactly where it was, but of course, I walked her to where it might be, and it was.... Sigh.... Wednesday, December 18, 2002
Special Gone By Argh!! I missed the SNL Christmas special last night!! The "Martha Stewart's Topless Christmas" sketch is quite entertaining... ;-) .... Mmm, well, last night my daughter and I took a fun little drive in my dumpy little rental car. Something different. Ak, it's so small, and has *roll up* windows! Which are hard to make work! Should have seen me trying to get the window down for the Taco Bell drive-though earlier! I felt a little bad about making fun of the thing I'm driving, but it was so much fun.. Twilight Afternoon What a strange afternoon!! I've got some things going on, so when the phone rings, I anticipate it being one of *them." Well, it never is! First, a guy I called early *last week* about some property owned by Portland Schools, next to a house I nearly bid on, and someone else did first, calls me back. Out of the blue! Then, just now, the day I finally get my car in to fix what happened a couple weeks back, *another* repair shop which I'd decided not to use, calls me... After not talking with them for days. It's all mixed up. Same thing yesterday morning, a really nice girl called me before I'd even woken up, me sitting at my desk.. The next thing I know, a girl friend who **never** calls me, will ring me, right here. Sunday, December 15, 2002
