her space holiday Sounds I like this, from a review on epitonic, "Marc Bianchi of AudioInformationPhenomena Records has been making records under the name her space holiday since 1997, creating lovely, simple pop full of soothing vocals, warm guitar sounds, mechanical beats, and twinkling piano lines." He writes songs for his girlfriend, Keely. If she likes a new song he's written, then he knows it's a good one. I'm amazed over and over again at music. So many discoveries to discover. (epitonic has some free her space holiday MP3's too, like the beat "Freedom Fighters", and spacy, somewhat heavenly "The Unbelievable Broadcast.") Thursday, August 01, 2002

Left Behind Last night I gazed upon the trees, glistening in the breeze, behind the house where I once lived. I love those trees, sparkling in the late summer evening sun. Freedom To Suffer ![]() Not that I'm particularly interested in whales. However, I was just thinking....Many of the whales who washed up at Cape Cod recently, were reportedly euthanized. Was it really to prevent their suffering? Why don't they shoot people who look to be suffering and apparently ready to die, then? I wonder if those animals are actually being killed, so they can be quickly cleaned off the beach and not left there to die naturally, for all to see. To reduce viewers' sufferering. How sickening. My Girlfriend "When I lose my sparkle, she's the only one who understands." Not that I am totally agog about all of Everclear ever. Never. "Songs From An American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time For A Bad Attitude" is weak.. Excepting "The Good Witch of the North", a classic ode to the best kind of girl in the world, and hmm, maybe another song or two I can't think of. "Vol. Two" seems like kind of a throwaway... almost. Not Nearly Enough The strange thing about Everclear is, their drummer, Greg Eklund, is the best looking and furthest from the edge member of the trio. This group has such incredible range... Just listening to the lovely "Annabella's Song" now, after rocking out earlier with "Wonderful" and rocking along to "Unemployed Boyfriend." I like the lead girl in 'Unemployed Boyfriend." There are so many real life stories in Art Alexakis' songs. Sometimes he seems nearly as dark as a Jim Morrison. He's got so much more love, tenderness, and charm, though - - which somehow intertwine with his insecurity, anger, and desperation. I sure hope they go on for years and years to come... Five albums is not nearly enough. Ohh, "Annabella" is so gorgeous... Mmmm, Labor Day Weekend, they're coming to the Bite, on the waterfront.. "You're my everything, Anna...You are never alone." |
