Dell Service?
I had personally used a different PC maker, which allowed me more high performance customization. However, from different sources I had gathered that Dell would be a good place for my parents, first time PC buyers, and quite inexperienced in the whole realm of PCs, to buy theirs. I had heard that yes, you may pay more, but that Dell gives the best service, and solid machines.

Well, the machine has been fine. No problems there. However, the service from Dell has been poor. Since they bought their PC last year, they've been trying to get their paid for Windows XP... After faxes, letters, email, still no XP. So anyway, if you know someone buying their first PC, you might think twice before sending them to Dell. I think they're spending all their money on those ads you always see, and forgetting to actually service those who send them a couple thousand dollars.

Now that's a strategy! Treat the parents badly, and maybe you will lose the future business of all their children, and grandchildren. Perhaps Dell will fall. At least if they keep up this level of service...

Classy
"He didn't show-boat or anything," Milwaukee coach Cecil Cooper said. "He hit that last one, dropped his head, and that was it. He's a classy kid." That's Shawn Green...Who's about a million times classier and cooler than Bonds or Sheffield or any number of other guys who have never done what he has - hit 4 homers in a game. He hehe... The way it should be.

Colourbox
Colourbox is cool... I love "Catch My Breath" and "Deep Blue Breath." Ahhhh! How can I already have plans on such a day as this? I just want to listen to music, discover it and plan CDRs... Some of their best songs seem to be stylized reggae. I know the "real thing" and this is just as cool in it's own way. No, I never turn my nose up at good music. The best UB40 is as good as anything out of Jamaica, only different. Just as good.... and I've heard lots of both.

All Time Forever Green
Slick...Nice way to start off a long weekend.... I was a little under the weather yesterday when I was invited to lunch, and that turned out really good. I tried a juicy teriyaki chicken sandwich, with those addictive steak fries.. The Dodgers had jumped out ahead nicely in their day game in Milwaukee, before I left... I got back in time to "watch" them wrap up the 16-3 victory, with three successive homers in the ninth inning. Shawn Green, who had a slow start after hitting 49 HRs last year, became the 14th player in history, either league, to hit 4 home runs in one game. Cool. Plus, he set the record, all time, for most "total bases" (a HR= 4, a double=2, a single=1) in one game, with 4 HR's, a double and a single. The all time record. More than Ruth, more than Gehrig, more than Dimaggio, Duke Snider, Mays or anyone. More than any player ever, living or dead. My long weekend started just after that game completed.. Thanks, Shawn Green....What makes it all the sweeter, is that up until this week, Green has been pretty awful, hitting into lots of double plays, and hitting very little. He's sure burst out.

My Anniversary On my 20th Anniversary, one of the best days of my life
I took Friday, May 17 off, and had the most excellent day, after sleeping in about 4 hours later than usual... That was my quickest transition into a vacation mentality ever! I was celebrating my 20th Anniversary. No, not from my wedding day, as I'm not married/entangled right now. None-the-less, I was overjoyed!

"You'll Be Rich!"
Last Thursday, in my un-writing and posting week, I was talking casually with a woman CPA I know. Just discussing my finances, planning and things. Suddenly she exclaimed to me, "You'll be rich!"
