The Story From Cyborg 2087 - I love old sci-fi posters
The New York Times has by far the best article I've seen so far on that Ladies Skating surprise.. Some fine writing...Although, clearly the finish didn't go against all "sentimental expectations." At least, not mine. :-) It's odd reading a story like this before it actually makes TV out here on the west coast.. Of course, knowing what happened, I then had to watch my favorite... I really liked the interview after too. Such a charming, innocent, unaffected girl....

Oh Good...
Relief.. So I am looking around at the stories about figure skating tonight.. I go to NBC Olympics site, and they have a stupid vote, "Who do you think should have won the gold in Ladies Figure Skating?" They can't stand it! The one they annointed didn't get it. Ha, well, the best girl won! They just didn't know it.... Hee he eheh... Of course, I had to vote for Sarah, and then found she'd gotten 64% of the vote. Give it up NBC! She won, face it! The cutest, sweetest girl (as I imagine her, as I perceive her) won.. :-) Yes!!! I must say, however, the articles talking mostly about someone else, when they should be talking about the actual winner, are pretty annoying. When someone wins a surprising, joyful victory, that person *is* the story.

Ha...
"The win was one of the biggest upsets in Olympic skating history." Cool! :-) That's what they get for pretty much ignoring Sarah... He hehe...

Yes! Yes! Yes!!
This is a very good sign... Here I am, lifelong baseball season dreaming of a surprisingly good Dodger season to come, and what happens???!!! Yes!! The girl I rooted for, not the favourite, wins the Ladies Skating Gold!! Yeah!!!!! :-) Hurrah for Sarah Hughes!! She must have known I was rooting for her. ;-)

Go Sarah!
I finally got my parents "foreign" PC to work, a little (it seems someone else "breaks" it between every time I visit here! Ahh!) Finally I got into ESPN and I see this, "American Sarah Hughes, who performed a near-flawless program and leads" Yes, go Sarah!! Now, if only my Hotmail account would actually work... Oh well. Seems almost everyone in my family has been real sick or injured lately. But they're all getting better now, so that's good... I keep feeding myself with extra fruit and faithfully taking my many germ killers, so....I'm hoping to escape that nasty flu bug...
I've been having a great time reading about the Dodgers, anyway... Kind of effortless fantasy lately. For tonight though, I am not watching it, but I am taping it, if I set things correctly a few days back. Go Sarah Hughes!! Yeah!! The underdog, hardly a dog though. ;-)

Lady Skaters
Funny how they call them "ladies." They don't call the men "gentlemen" so why are the females "ladies?" Well, my favorite "lady" skater this time is Sarah Hughes, I think... I don't know much about ice skating or the other competitors, but I think she's cute and she seems like a sweet girl, so, I hope she wins!
