My Reward I got my reward!!! I drug myself out for a walk at lunch, despite the fact that I wasn't even remotely in the mood. The past few weeks, each session of walking or treadmilling has been a chore. I think it has something to do with the way I was eating... and not sleeping. So, anyway, I'm hoping today will be a good start. The walk's first half was OK, facing the cool breeze felt refreshing. On the way back, I was even less in the mood, but I looked up into the mostly dark grey sky, and what did I see? A double rainbow!! It was beautiful!!! Those soon disappeared, and a little later, a single one showed up in another part of the sky... To Hear Her Thoughts Last night I watched an old black and white Twilight Zone episode, part of the marathon the Sci Fi channel broadcast at New Years, and I taped... This was the one with the actor who played the first Darren from Bewitched (not Larry Hagman.) Boy, seems like several actors gave some of their best performances on Twilight Zone. Anyway, he (can't recall his name!) played a bank employee who all of a sudden one day, can read everyone he comes into contact with's mind. He just hears their thoughts, and he finds this quite disconcerting... However, the best thing is, he finds out this woman he works with, thinks very highly of him, and really likes him.. It's very cute hearing her thoughts after he speaks, toward the end of the episode. He asks her whether she would like him to walk her home. She thinks, 'I'd go anywhere with you..." I love that!!! Boy, I think I'd like to have this ability, even if just for a short time.. I could go over and test it a little. Does *she* think, "Oh it's Matthew! Why does he think I smile all glowingly whenever he's around? Maybe finally he's come to see me to ask me to lunch or something..:" Or would it be more like, "What does *he* want!?" Or, worse yet, "Ho hum, him again." He hehee... {Later: I've remembered now, the actor was Dick York.. When he was talking to that woman who seemed to be rapidly becoming his girl, my favourite line of his, "Before this all happened, I was happy...{then he puzzles a bit to himself}, or at least I wasn't unhappy."} I've been having trouble sleeping lately, and I'm in the midst of a CDR making project... So I won't post a lot right now. Here's something to look at though... I am using this, well the top portion really, is what goes on my screen in tile mode, for my background.. I really like the girl on the upper left, and the robot... |
